Omexom Renewable Energies’s Technical planning of the WATERKANT offshore wind farm

Luxcara has awarded a contract to Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore for the technical planning of the WATERKANT offshore wind project located in the North Sea.

The sustainable energy infrastructure asset management Luxcara recently granted a contract to the Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore business unit team for the technical planning of the WATERKANT offshore wind farm. With a capacity of over 270 megawatts, this wind farm will be constructed around 90 kilometers off the island of Borkum. It is expected to start running in 2028.

Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore will serve as a technical consultant to support and oversee the project’s design and development in the upcoming years.

The calls for tenders for the primary trades and the thorough approval procedures for the wind farm’s construction will take precedence initially.

Omexom is a VINCI Energies’ brand specialised in electrical power generation, transmission, transformation and distribution.

For over 70 years, Comsip has accompanied its clients in the development of worldwide projects. Comsip is a member of the VINCI Energies Group intervening anywhere in the world, thanks to the support of a strong international network of VINCI Group present in more than 50 countries
