| SECTOR : Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industries | PROJECT PHASE: Contracting / Project Management | DURATION : 12 months


  • During the whole project execution duration from FEED phase, through detailed engineering phase and until first Oil, you are responsible for the contractual activities to meet the Project objectives in terms of Safety, Environment requirement, Quality, Cost and Planning.


  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSEQ standards and demonstrate personal commitment to the HSEQ Policy.
  • Proactively carry out the Contracts & Procurement function as a managed process.
  • Act as highly communications focal point for Contracts.
  • Follow relevant markets by gathering & using received information and developing & maintaining updated market information systems (contractors/suppliers market conditions).
  • Establish contracting strategy.
  • Review and consider legal aspects associated with contract award & administration, liaising with the Legal Department, providing advice to clients as appropriate.
  • Propose, pre-qualify & recommend suitable contractors/suppliers for bid lists to maximize tendering efficiency.
  • Compile issue and administer “Invitation to Tender”.
  • Draft appropriate contractual and commercial terms & conditions.
  • Review bids, participate in contractual & commercial clarifications & negotiations, prepare the associated documents to Award, finalize the Contracts.
  • Administer the award of contracts, change/variation orders, contract amendments, claims and all associated correspondence…
  • Prepare various contractual certificates (i.e. Milestone Certificates, Provisional Acceptance Certificate, Final Acceptance Certificate…etc.)
  • Provide general assistance & advice on contractual & procurement matters as required.
  • Represent the Company’s and Project’s Contracts & Procurement function in weekly, Monthly meetings with suppliers/contractors and any meetings required to conduct the contracting activities.
  • Provide input to cost with potential changes and actual changes throughout the project, including verification of project invoices.
  • Perform contractual activities using tools such as SAP, e-Sourcing, Agora, etc


  • Diploma: Engineering diploma qualified in Quantity Surveying or relevant business area
  • Experience: 10 years’ + experience in the offshore Oil & Gas or petrochemical industries within minimum 6 years in preparation, negotiation, and administration of complex projects contracts.
  • Competencies:
    – Procurement processes / bidder prequalification; invitation to tender / comparative contractors’ evaluation & award /claims management, administration / amendment & close out of contracts
    – Extensive knowledge of model contract conditions & the ability to identify & assess relevant risks & modify and/or supplement standard provisions as appropriate (FEED (Front End Engineering Design), EPCSS (Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction and Commissioning), EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, And Installation)
    – General knowledge in Oil and Gas operators and packages like SURF, Topsides and FPSO
  • Languages: Proficient in English. Portuguese is a plus
