Process Safety Engineer

| SECTOR : Oil and Gas | PROJECT PHASE: Design / Construction | DURATION : Three years

YOUR ACTIVITIES

  • To define with the various parties involved the philosophy and rules of process safety to be considered for each project.
  • Collaborate with different teams of engineering specialists, who will help you to implement the process safety requirements
  • Provide your expertise to the project team in order to make the best choices
  • Prepare and review bids with the engineering companies (EPC)
  • Challenge the proposals made by the various engineering companies and service providers.
  • Check that French legislation, the various international standards and the group’s standards and group standards applicable to each project in relation to the documents issued by the various engineering companies.
  • Provide expertise in the field of process safety throughout the project
  • Work in collaboration with the teams and external service providers in charge of the preparation and follow-up of operating permit applications.
  • To participate actively as an expert in the various meetings HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA/SIL
  • Validate with the notified bodies the controls necessary to guarantee the certification of the installations according to the process safety criteria.
  • Define with the different specialists and the results of the safety reviews the criticality of the different equipment
  • Check that the specifications are considered
  • Validate the quality plans to ensure that the process criteria are taken into account safety
  • Inform the project teams of the progress and problems encountered

YOUR PROFILE

  • At least 10 years professional experience in the field of Process Safety
  • Experience of working with engineering companies
  • Knowledge of business processes and applications in your fields,
  • Ability to coordinate activities between several teams
  • Ability to work cross-functionally
  • Discipline, curiosity, methodology and organisational skills
  • Good listening, communication, leadership and anticipation skills
  • Fluency in French and English
