GEOTECHNICAL LEAD

YOUR MISSION

For a Green Field project, with a sensitive environmental condition, you provide support and perform as a Technical Authority for Geotechnical Engineering discipline to ensure that project that project’s objectives are met, and that project schedule is maintained.

You Report to the Engineering Manager

YOUR ACTIVITIES

• Support Lead Civil and Structural Engineer with supervision of the detailed design
• Review and check the engineering documents, prepared by the contractor and provide comments and/or approval, in accordance with the contract procedures and requirements
• Liaise with other disciplines regarding geotechnical matters
• Participate in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc meetings with the contractor
• Report to Engineering Manager concerning discipline progress
• Participate in the technical reviews
• Ensure technical alignment between the various contractors’ geotechnical
• Manage the Engineering Contractors and Equipment Vendors
• Control of the contractor during construction activities
• Assess any deviations and make an appropriate recommendation
• Check the adequacy of the contractor’s personnel mobilization and demobilization
• Ensure that contractor HSE practices are acceptable and that proper measures and procedures are being implemented.

YOUR PROFILE

• Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology Degree
• Minimum 15 years of related experience practicing geotechnical engineering on large scale and complex projects
• Good knowledge in upstream/downstream Oil & Gas, industrial development, linear development (pipeline)
